There are also many lowland walks along lochs, rivers and through forests, avoiding the ascent of the hills.

 

Rob Roy Way

We are close to the Rob Roy Way walking route along Loch Venachar, so an ideal overnight stopover. We are also able to arrange baggage transfer to your next stopover.

Deanston Distillery

A little further afield (15 miles) but nevertheless Deanston Distillery is our closest whisky distillery offering tours, tasting and sale of a fine range of single malts

 

 

 

Doune Castle

Doune is around 14 miles and not far from Deanston Distillery. It is famous for Doune Castle where Monty Pythons Holy Grail was filmed.

 

 

 

Blair Drummond Safari Park

Again a little drive in the car, but worth it (16 miles). Blair Drummond Safari Park near Stirling is open from March to October. A great family day out

A forest drive passing three beautiful lochs – Lochan Reòidhte, Loch Drunkie and Loch Achray

 

 

 

Town of Callander

After leaving Brig O' Turk, Callander is the nearest town around 7 miles away. There is a wide variety of great pubs, cafes, restaurants, shops, leisure centre with a swimming pool, climbing wall and soft play area amongst many other activities. The nearest petrol station is in Callander.

 

 

 

Town of Aberfoyle

The town of Aberfoyle (8 miles) is reached via the Dukes Pass. A fun and scenic drive although sometimes impassable in the winter. Aberfoyle has a number of unique shops, cafes and restaurants together with a wildlife centre and a woollen mill with sheep herding demonstrations

 

 

 

City of Stirling

Stirling is around 21 miles from Brig O' Turk. It is famous for Stirling Castle and Wallaces Monument but has everything else you would expect from a city. Pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, cinemas, bowling, shops...

 

 

 

City of Dunblane

A small picturesque city with Dunblane Cathedral, great walks and some interesting shops, cafes and restaurants...(19 miles)
